Well.......apparently, I just love creating patterns! I've been so busy sketching new designs as well as going back through best sellers and old favorites. Then comes the hardest part......deciding which I should turn into a pattern. Honestly, I haven't made a thing for my fall craft shows in months and at this rate, I'm going to be in a heap of trouble!! But, truth be told, I do work best under pressure! I have one more pattern in the works at the present time......it's a make-do using dollar store candlesticks. This pattern is quick, easy and inexpensive which leads to great profits at craft shows. Be sure to make a bunch...they sell out every year!</div>

Directions are complete, templates are drawn........just have to add the finishing touches, transfer them into PDF format and I'll be listing them for sale shortly..........Artistic Impressionshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12325199680156353289noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4233805173231225210.post-64534497964369622622014-04-13T22:25:00.000-04:002014-04-13T22:25:04.796-04:00Just back from 9 days of vacation in sunny Florida! It was so good to see green grass and palm trees after the long, cold and very snowy winter we had here in Connecticut. The weather was pretty near perfect as well, temps in the high 80's and just one day with rain in the afternoon...no complaining here! Now it's time to get back to work and finish the 2 patterns that I was working on.......... Artistic Impressionshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12325199680156353289noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4233805173231225210.post-31210167261941283632014-03-29T14:50:00.000-04:002014-03-29T14:50:24.739-04:00<div style="text-align: center;">
A rainy day in NY....visiting my family for the weekend....just sitting around thinking of all I have to do before show season begins in September.........ornaments to paint and assemble leads the list. They should have been completed by now....I'm so far behind this year. New snowmen ideas are swirling around in my head. Patterns to complete......I certainly need to print some up to take to shows as well. Where to start is the question??????</div>

He is nameless at this point ......... here's a picture.....I was thinking of "Mr. Frostbite"??? </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
My newest addition to the snow folk collection is this sweet duo. Each snowman is crafted using vintage chenille. Nicholas wears a colorful polartec coat and scarf, has mini rusty jingles buttons and a black felt scrunched top hat accented with rusty bells and pine sprigs. His nose is actually a rusty flat nail which has been painted and lightly sand for a more prim look. He holds a petite little snow girl in his arms which may be re-positioned if desired. </div>

A successful weekend spent in my craft room..........so pleased that I finally finished two projects I've been working on!!! Yesterday, I completed all the nodders that I began working on a few weeks ago. Check! Today, I completed a shelf sitter snowman that was awaiting the final touches. Check, Check!!! Now, to write up the pattern for the shelf sitter duo and make it available for sale. Given the fact that I've lacked motivation in recent months, I do feel a sense of accomplishment.</div>

Today, I promised myself that I would complete a project that has been sitting in limbo for a few weeks. An early morning trip to JoAnn's did the trick. I was able to find the perfect fabric for the stocking caps as well as wonderful curly fabric for the trim.......of course it had to be coffee stained.......nothing is easy in my crafting world!! The "Nodders" are available for purchase by clicking on the "Go Shopping" tab...........</div>

Crafted in a vintage cigar box, these two frosty fellas are standing guard over a cinnamon rolled, battery operated tea lite. The box is embellished with pine, frosted ming pine, rusty jingle bells, crocheted doilies, pip berries and a grungy hang tag. This pattern can be created using a vintage cheese box, rusty loaf pan or the container of your choice.</div>

One of my top selling snowmen, this sweet little guy will surely bring a smile to your face! Crafted from vintage chenille, this snowman sits on a bed of "hot cocoa" topped with faux marshmallows. An old spoon and grungy hang tag are held by rusty twisted wire arms! </div>

I've been making these for so many years and they've always been a great seller at craft shows. Each snowman is filled with extra loft batting to give a puffy appearance. Dust them with prismatic glitter for a whimsical look......or coffee stain them for a more country feel. Once you make one...you won't be able to stop as each takes on a personality all it's own!</div>
